Introduction

Hello everyone my name is Ryan Wilson I am currently studying software development in GMIT. Currently in our second year of the course for our IT skills module we have be assigned to create a blog about a topic of our choosing relating to IT. I have chosen to write about the Apple iPhone and iOS operating systems.

Why did i choose this topic ?

I feel this is a topic I am familiar with as I have done some research for my IT professional skills module. When researching the operating system I have learned many different aspects of it that I was not familiar with beforehand. I find it to be an interesting subject. We use these various operating systems everyday but we may not

look into what makes them work

or what makes them stand out from each other.

Over the course of this blog i will cover a multitude of topics that relate to the operating system itself and the devices that run it.

I hope that everyone who takes their time to read this blog finds the information interesting and helpful.

Why would a consumer choose iOS?

As a student myself I choose iOS because of the simplicity of the operating system and the quality of life it offers. In this post I will cover some points that helped me choose iOS. 1.Quality of life 2.Security 3.Design Quality of life Most of the people in my family use iPhone devices that run different versions of iOS. Both of my parents use mac books, all of my nephews have iPhones from the iPhone 4 to iPhone 6 and my brother uses an iPhone. Every member of the family is a different age ranging from 7 to 60 years old. Years ago my parents would ask myself or my brother to give them help with using their phone or older laptops. Since they have started using mac books and iPhones because of the simplicity of the operating systems they can easily navigate the interfaces. My nephews are able to use all of the various apps for social media to contact their friends or parents when needed. Some national schools offer iPad...
